Official Rules
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A Purchase Will Not Increase Your Chances of Winning. To Enter: Visit https://bose.life/wingolftrip anytime between 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) August 11, 2016 and 11:59 p.m. ET August 18, 2016 (“Promotion Period”) and follow the directions to complete and submit the online registration to earn one (1) entry into the sweepstakes drawings. Limit one (1) sweepstakes entries per person or email address. All online entries must be submitted and received by 11:59 p.m. ET August 18, 2016. Entering an invalid email address, invalid personal information, multiple entries beyond what’s stated above, or otherwise failing to abide by these Official Rules will result in sweepstakes disqualification. For the purposes of sweepstakes deadline, the sole determinant of the current time will be the clock on the promotion server machine, regardless of what any other timekeeping device might indicate. Entrants are responsible for determining the corresponding time zone in their respective location for online entry deadline. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of any entrant, the entry will be deemed made by the person identified as the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry (i.e., the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address). Sponsor may require any entrant or potential winner to provide Sponsor with proof, to the Sponsor’s satisfaction, that such party is the authorized account holder associated with the entry.
2. Drawings: Winners will be selected via random drawings on or about August 19, 2016, from among all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Drawings will be conducted by PROMOSIS, INC. (“Administrator”), an independent judging organization whose decisions in all matters relating to this sweepstakes are final. Potential Grand Prize winner will be notified by overnight courier and email and/or telephone, and will be required to complete a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility and, where permitted by law, a Liability/Publicity Release (the “Affidavit”) that must be returned and received within five (5) days of the date the initial notification is sent to the potential winner, or prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner randomly selected from the remaining pool of participants received for the original drawing. Potential First Prize winners will be notified by email, with potential follow-up notification sent via US mail or express courier, and will be required to complete a Winner Verification and Liability/Publicity Release that must be returned and received within five (5) days of the date the initial notification was sent to the potential winner, or prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner randomly selected from the remaining pool of participants received for the original drawing.
3. Prizes: One (1) Grand Prize: a trip for two (2) to the Deutsche Bank Championship being held at TPC Boston in Norton, MA, 9/2/16 - 9/5/16, including round trip Coach Class air travel for two (2) to Providence, RI or Boston, MA (at Sponsor’s discretion) from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest the winner’s home, five (5) nights accommodations (one room, double occupancy), two (2) VIP four (4) day tournament passes to The Wedgwood Club presented by GREY GOOSE, and rental car (at Sponsor’s discretion); a Bose wireless package including two (2) Bose SoundSport® wireless headphones, two (2) Bose SoundTouch® 20 Series III wireless music systems, two (2) Bose SoundTouch 10 wireless music systems, two (2) Bose SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® II speakers, and two (2) Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth speakers; plus two (2) Rory McIlroy signed PGA TOUR Pin Flags and two (2) Rory McIlroy signed photos. Approximate retail value of Grand Prize is $6,900. Actual value may vary based on timing of trip, location of departure city, and assessment of prize elements publicly available. Difference between actual value and stated value will not be awarded in cash or other compensation.
Eight (8) First Prizes: a Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker II with Rory McIlroy signed soft cover, plus a Rory McIlroy signed PGA TOUR Pin Flag and Rory McIlroy signed photo. Approximate retail value of each First Prize = $250.
Total approximate retail value of all prizes available to be won = $8,900.
Prizes may not be transferred or redeemed for cash, in whole or in part. Bose system prize colors are at Sponsor’s discretion. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, or local taxes on the value of the prize won. Grand Prize winner will be issued an IRS 1099-MISC tax form for the retail value of the prize. Grand Prize elements, including but not limited to air travel provider, hotel, and tournament passes will be chosen by sponsor. Grand Prize winner is responsible for any incidental travel costs not expressly stated above, including but not limited to ground transportation in departure city, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging or tournament, or other expenses. Any other costs associated with the Grand Prize are at the winner’s discretion, and are not included. Grand Prize trip is scheduled for September 1 - 6, 2016, subject to change at Sponsor’s discretion. Grand Prize winner and winner’s guest must be available to travel on the dates specified by the Sponsor, or prize and its value will be forfeited. Travel guest of the winner will be required to complete a liability/publicity release (where permitted by law) before trip is booked. If the winner’s travel companion is a minor, the liability/publicity release (where permitted by law) for the travel guest must be signed by his/her parent or legal guardian, and winner’s travel companion must be accompanied by the parent or legal guardian at his/her own expense, if the parent/guardian is not the winner. Winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary, and are solely responsible for obtaining any and all required travel documentation. Prize trip and its components are subject to scheduling availability and certain other restrictions. Sponsor will not be responsible for replacement of any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers, or tournament passes once they are in winner's possession or in the possession of the winner’s guest. Sponsor is not responsible for any postponement, delays, or cancellation of air travel in connection with the prize trip or for any postponement, delays, or cancellation of the tournament. Tournament tickets are subject to the terms and conditions specified by PGA TOUR, Inc. ("PGA TOUR"). Winner and guest must comply with all event venue regulations or that portion of the prize may be forfeited. No substitution for prizes or parts thereof, except by Sponsor as may be due to unavailability. If originally-offered prize or any prize element is unavailable at the time of award, Sponsor may substitute an item of comparable or additional value. Winners are responsible for all costs or expenses not specifically exempted herein. For car rental, driver must be twenty-five (25) or older and must have a major credit (not debit) card issued in his/her name. Winner is responsible for all rental vehicle additional charges and fees. By accepting a prize, winner agrees to grant to the Sponsor and its promotion partners the right without limitation to use the winner’s name, picture, portrait or likeness, and voice in any future promotional material connected with this sweepstakes in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation, where permitted, and that such use can be made without prior inspection or approval of the use of any copy used in connection with it. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. Odds of winning a Prize are dependent upon the total number of entries received by the entry deadline.
4. Eligibility: The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the contiguous 48 United States and DC who are twenty-five (25) years of age or older at the time of entry (not open to residents of AK, HI, PR, and all other Territories and Possessions). Not open to employees and their families (spouses, parents, children/siblings and their respective spouses, and those living in the same household) of Bose Corporation, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. (“DICK’S”), PGA TOUR, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, promotion partners, participating retailers, tournament hospitality and event staff, advertising and production agencies, and PROMOSIS, INC. Entrants consent to the use of their registration information in accordance with the Bose privacy policy. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Entrants agree to the release of their name, address, and email information to Promosis for winner notification purposes and for public winner disclosure as required by law. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law or regulation, and is subject to all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
5. Limitation of Liability: Sponsor and its promotion partners, Administrator, and their affiliates are not responsible for typographical errors in any sweepstakes-related materials; for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete registrations/entries or email; for technical, hardware, software, Internet, or telephone failures of any kind; for lost or unavailable network connections; for viruses; or for failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions that may limit or interfere with a participant’s ability to take part in the promotion. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated entry devices are not valid and will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify and seek prosecution of any entrant who disrupts or interferes with the proper play of the sweepstakes, or acts in violation these Official Rules in any way. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify promotion if fraud or technical failure compromises the integrity of the promotion, or corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If sweepstakes is canceled for any reason, including but not limited to those stated above, winners will be determined via random drawings from among all eligible entries received up to the time of cancellation. Sponsor and its promotion partners, their related companies, agencies, and their respective employees or officers shall not be liable for injury, losses, damages, or costs of any kind resulting from participation in this promotion, or acceptance of or use or misuse of a prize or parts thereof. DICK’S, PGA TOUR, Deutsche Bank Championship, and TPC Boston have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this promotion or any prize awarded. DICK’S, PGA TOUR, Deutsche Bank Championship, TPC Boston, Twitter, and Facebook have not offered, sponsored, or endorsed this promotion in any way. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these official rules.
6. Dispute Resolution: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this sweepstakes, participant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Massachusetts having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, other than participants' actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this sweepstakes), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
7. Winners List: For the names of the winners, send a standard-size postcard, only, with your return address to: Bose “Better Gear. Better Sound. Summer Sweepstakes!” Winners List, P.O. Box 38, Marblehead, MA 01945. Requests must be received by November 13, 2016. Winners List will be available only after winners have been verified and prizes officially awarded. Do not send any other correspondence to this address.
